About this policy

This policy covers English Study Kit's conversations, tools, courses, games, accounts, and support features. English Test Kit's tests, results, teacher directory, and classroom features have a separate privacy policy on that site.

One account, separate sites

English Study Kit and English Test Kit share account credentials. Your name, email address, password, verification status, account security settings, and existing coin balance belong to that shared account. A password change affects both sites. You sign in separately on each site; signing in here does not automatically sign you in there.

Each site has its own session and cookie choices. StudyKit does not provide TestKit's public profiles, leaderboard, teacher directory, or classroom pages. If you use a public profile on TestKit, its visibility is governed by your shared profile setting and TestKit's privacy policy.

Information we collect

• Account and learning information: account details, course progress, practice activity, and records associated with features you use. Guests can try available activities; account-based progress requires signing in.
• Conversations and tool submissions: messages, edited speech transcripts, prompts, submitted text, and generated responses needed for the requested activity. Conversation records have a configured expiry, and browser storage may hold an in-progress session reference.
• Support information: your submitted name, email address, message, originating site, submission time, and delivery status. The support team uses these records to review and respond.
• Technical information: session identifiers, IP address, device or browser information, request details, and diagnostic and security records needed to operate and protect the service.

AI and speech tools

When you use an AI-assisted activity, your submitted text and relevant activity or conversation context are sent to the configured AI service to produce replies or feedback. Generated output can be inaccurate. Use fictional details in role-play and do not submit passwords, payment information, or sensitive personal details.

In AI Conversations, speech recognition is handled by your browser, device, or its recognition provider. English Study Kit receives the transcript you send, not microphone audio for server transcription in that conversation feature.

Speech playback and Text-to-Speech Studio generate audio in your browser after downloading the voice files. Your text stays in your browser for this speech generation, and cached voice files can be reused offline. Your browser or device may provide a fallback voice when the downloaded voice is unavailable. Pronunciation assessment and other recording-based tools can send recordings for feedback; browser-only speech generation does not describe every speech tool on the site.

Starting a new conversation or changing scenarios changes the active practice session. It is not a promise that all stored messages or service logs are immediately erased. Conversation records expire according to the service's retention settings.

Cookies, storage, and analytics

Essential cookies and browser storage support sign-in, security, preferences, and in-progress practice. The cookie that remembers your optional-cookie choices lasts for up to one year. Downloaded voice and other public assets may be cached for reuse, including offline use where supported. Clearing site data in your browser removes those local caches and preferences.

If Google Analytics is enabled for English Study Kit, it loads only after you allow analytics cookies. English Study Kit does not currently load third-party advertising services or advertising cookies. Study Kit's analytics configuration and consent are separate from Test Kit's. You can review or change available optional choices using Cookie Settings in the footer.

Microsoft Clarity is an optional analytics service that helps us understand how visitors use the site through clicks, scrolling, heatmaps, and session recordings. It loads only after you allow analytics cookies and is handled according to the Microsoft Privacy Statement and your cookie choices.

Service providers and security

Hosting, email, authentication, AI, speech, and security providers process information needed for the features you use. Embedded third-party media may contact its provider when loaded. Those services have their own privacy notices.

Cloudflare Turnstile protects forms against automated abuse and may process device, network, and security signals. See the Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

We use access controls and security measures to protect information, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Retention and your choices

Account and learning records, support messages, and operational logs are retained according to their purpose and the service's retention settings. An activity ending does not necessarily delete its records. Contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of your information; identity verification may be needed.

You can update shared account settings and change this site's cookie choices. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights.
